Phyllis Sypin

Phyllis M. Dieter Sypin, age 76, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in Erie, on May 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mildred Huey Dieter.

Phyllis worked in the apparel department of Kmart, retiring after 27 years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting; and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Fairview Fire Department ladies auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Fenstermacher; and her former husband, John C. Sypin.

Phyllis is survived by her children: James Edward Farnham of Williamsport, Steven Joseph Farnham of Girard, Carol Markley of Erie, Dennis Farnham and his wife Sharon of Girard and Robert D. Farnham and his companion Tiffany Gross of Erie; step children: John and Regina Sypin; brothers: Dennis Dieter of Girard and Ralph Dieter of Erie; a sister, Lynn Sabol of Erie; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive; as well as her best friends Joyce and Bob of Georgia.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, on next Sunday, April 19th from 2-4pm and 6pm until the time of the service at 8pm.
