Phyllis Ferguson

Phyllis Marie Ferguson age 86, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Tidioute, PA on January 17, 1936 a daughter of the late Ernest and Zella Lynch Taft.

Phyllis graduated from Cranberry High School and went on to work as a Legal Secretary for the County of Erie and State Superior Court and spending 25 years with Judge Michael Joyce and then later with the McDonald Group.

She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Lawrence Park Golf Club. She served as the secretary of the Board of Directors at the Erie Federal Credit Union. She had a devotion to animals especially her cat Phil. She was an avid Erie Otters fan, enjoyed her friends and company at the Regency at South Shore and also enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Ferguson.

She is survived by a daughter, Janis Ferguson of Erie; a son, Robert Ferguson and his wife Kristi of Erie and two grandchildren, Charlie and Emily Angelone.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 W. 26^th Street on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
