Philip "Flip" Kruszewski
October 4, 1946 — June 9, 2024
Philip “Flip” Kruszewski, age 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 9, 2024, after a short illness.
He was born on October 4, 1946, in Erie, to the late Stephen and Anna (Cabaday) Kruszewski.
Philip attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and was a 1965 graduate of Tech Memorial High School, where he studied tool and die. He started his career as a tool and die maker and retired as a custom machine builder from Swanson-Erie after 37 years. He loved hunting, especially during archery season, spending time at his camp with his hunting buddies, and attending all of his grandchildren’s activities.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Walter, and brother, Thomas Kruszewski.
He leaves behind his grade school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Diane (Zyskowski) Kruszewski; his children, Lisa Mikolajczak (Mark), Lori Williamson (Bryan), Tim Kruszewski (Allison), of Phoenix, AZ, and Michael Kruszewski (Rene); ten grandchildren, Jonathan Mikolajczak; Sydney, Corynne (fiancé Austin Braendel) and Cameron Williamson; Bailey, Addyson, Carson and Landen Kruszewski; Olivia and Jake Kruszewski. He is further survived by his brother, Kenneth Kruszewski (Toni); brother-in-law, Dennis Zyskowski, sister-in-law Patti Kruszewski, several nieces and nephews, and best friends, Arlene and Butch Slater.
Friends may call at Saint James Church, 2635 Buffalo Road, on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements handled by the Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road.
