Peter B. Winkler, 68, of Millcreek passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital.

 He was born on August 12, 1950, the son of the late Bernard C. and Mary E. Carpenter Winkler.

 He served in the United States Army. Peter had worked as a computer assembler for Control Data Corp. for 3 years.

 He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading the Bible.   He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, James Winkler and Paul Winkler.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Arlene F. Karash Winkler; two brothers, John Winkler and his wife, Isabelle of Collegeville, PA and Thomas Winkler and his wife Linda of Skippack, PA; two sisters, Mary Jane Winkler, of Florida, and Diane Winkler of Norristown, PA and a sister-in-law Colleen Winkler.  Many good friends also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2801 West 6th Street, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Detisch officiating.

Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth St., NW, Washington, DC 20006.
