Peter Paul Trojanovich, age 73, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully after an extended illness, on Friday, August 28, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Erie on November 3, 1941, the son of the late Peter P. and Marjorie D. Trojanovich Millspaw.
Peter graduated from Edinboro “the Turtles” High School. He also went back to school at age 56 at Northwest Regional Technical School to become a CNC Lathe Operator. Peter started his career at House of Edinboro Furniture Store. He also did upholstery work on his own. He was then a laborer for Fenestra Corp from 1970 until they closed in 1995. He then worked at Penn Brass Copper, drove school buses for Millcreek School District, and eventually retired from Sam’s Club in August 2013.
He was a member of Weis Library United Methodist Church, Seibenbueger Club, and East Erie Turners. He and his wife also participated in the Meadowlark and Generation Gap Bowling Leagues at Westway Lanes and he received several awards from the McDowell Marching Band Aides for his service. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his grandchildren. Camping was a family tradition for many years and “Trojan Horse” was his CB handle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie D. Trace and a granddaughter, Lorrie Beth Leach.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara L. Struchen Trojanovich; six children, Terry J. Trojanovich (Sharon), Tammie Caldwell (Tommy), Jessica A. Griffith, Eric Trace (Victoria), Tracy L. Thomas (James), and Troy Trace (Cindy); 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his half- brothers and sisters: Barbara Wellman, Patrick Millspaw, Timothy Millspaw, and Prisilla Yanc.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at Weis Library United Methodist Church 6020 Heidler Road, Fairview, Pa 16415 from 10am until the time of the service at 11am with Rev. Frank Hodges officiating. Burial to follow in Weis Library Cemetery.
