Pearl Hammer

Pearl I. Jones Truschel Pasketvitz Hammer, age 67 of Erie, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at her residence.

Born on October 17, 1948 in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Lewis and Myrtle Nichols Jones.

She was a 1966 graduate of Canon McMillen School. She moved to Erie in 1973 and worked in the medical field her entire life until her retirement in 2011 as a medical office manager and bookkeeper, and lastly in medical billing at St. Vincent Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Frederick Truschel, second husband, Michael Paskevitz and third husband, best friend, and love of her life, Patrick Hammer, to whom she was married for 28 years. Also preceded by brothers Ken Jones, Bill Jones, Curt Jones and Ron Jones; sisters, Vivian Kenny, Doris Sochor and Janice Arden.

Survivors include her son Gregory Truschel of Erie; three brothers, David Jones of Michigan, and Gary Jones and Randy Jones, both of Portland, OR; her step-sons,Robert Hammer and Alan Schultz of Erie, her Mother-in-law, Rita Hammer of Erie, PA; her very, very dear brother-in-law, Norm Arden of Finleyville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Several grandchildren also survive.
