Pauline Gauriloff McCrea
Pauline Gauriloff McCrea, age 88, of Erie died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Elmwood Gardens. She was born October 26, 1926 in Ellsworth, PA the daughter of the late Maxim and Anna Panamerov Gauriloff.
A longtime resident of Erie, she was a member of the Russian Orthodox Old Believers Church of the Holy Trinity and also the CYS club. Pauline enjoyed cooking and working in her garden and was also an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver. She especially loved following the lives and activities of her 11 grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm McCrea along with five brothers; Perry Gavriloff, Peter, John, David and James Gauriloff and 3 sisters; Ann Sokol, Agnes Rampe and Lillian Gauriloff.
Pauline is survived by a son, Malcolm McCrea and his wife Deborah of Robesonia, PA and 3 daughters; Jane Hand and her husband Thomas of Pittsburgh, Phyllis Hedderick and her husband Timothy of Waterford, and Lisa Queeney and her husband John of Springfield, VA. She is the sister of Anita Delopitro and her husband Rudy of Erie and Pearl Leone of East Hampton, NY. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; Malcolm and Michael McCrea; Holly Guyer (Ron), Nathan and Adam Hand; Matthew, Kari, Amy, and Kelly Hedderick; and Johnny and Anna Queeney along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9 PM and are invited to attend Funeral Services Friday at 9:00 AM in the Russian Orthodox Old Believers Church of the Holy Trinity, 227 Holland St. Burial will be in St. John the Divine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
