Paul Warner

Paul G. Warner Sr. age 81 of Erie, passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. He was born in Erie, PA on March 18, 1935 a son of the late Laverne and Laura Hall Warner. He was a member of the first graduating class of McDowell High School in 1954 and served in the US Army post the Korean Conflict. After his service he worked as a steel worker with Erie Steel, Custom Engineering and also worked with Tom Mountain Auto. Paul enjoyed playing his harmonica, traveling, family picnics, watching the Cleveland Indians and occasionally stopping over at the casino. In addition to his parents and spouse he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Warner and his companion of later years, Delores Bunting. He is survived by his children; Mildred Warner, Paul Warner and Carol DiNicola (Gary) all of Erie, Diane Cruz (Ramon) of Cambridge Springs, PA and Mark Warner also of Erie. Paul also leaves his siblings; Gerald Warner (Nancy) of Albion, PA, Nancy Miller (Gale) of North East, PA, Janet States of Conneaut, OH, Doris Harris of Cambridge Springs, PA and Patricia Babka (Bob) of Pierpoint, OH. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also remain along with many good friends. Friends may call at Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA 16510 on Friday from 11:00 am till the time of services there at 1:00 pm with Reverend Harry Johns III officiating. Burial at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Paul’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the VA and St. Vincent Health Center for their wonderful care.
