Paul Newcomer, Sr.

     Paul D. Newcomer, Sr., 71, of Erie, died Mon., Jan. 20, 2014 at Twinbrook Medical Center.  He was born July 24, 1942 in Erie, PA, son of the late Harold M. and Virginia Ramsdale Newcomer.  He attended Harborcreek High School and was a veteran of U.S. Army.  He worked for Hayes Mfg. and Reed Mfg., and most recently as a security officer for Hamot Medical center for 18 years.  He enjoyed camping and boating, reading books about WW II, and music - country western and 1950's rock and roll.
     His wife of 49 years, Dona M. Pietrasiewicz Newcomer, preceded him in death Dec. 15, 2012.
     Survivors include three sons, Paul D. Newcomer, Jr. and wife Maria of Philadelphia, PA, Michael J. Newcomer and wife Louisa of Erie, and Darren D. Newcomer of Meadville; a sister, Kathy Calkins and husband Charles of Erie; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Hayley Star; and several nieces and nephews.
