Paul graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1975. He worked in production at Hammermill and retired from McInnis Rolled Rings in 2020.
He was an Erie Otters season ticket holder, played softball in church and Erie Rec leagues, coached youth sports and was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and Guardians. Paul was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club and Luther Memorial Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy Gustafson, brother Carl H. Gustafson and sister-in-law Sandra A. Gustafson.
Paul is survived by his wife Lynnette S. Collier Gustafson; daughter Jennifer Szewczykowski (Brian); son Jason Gustafson; brothers Rev. Philip N. Gustafson and Tracy L. Gustafson (Aimee); and stepchildren Jacob Byers, Zachary Byers and Lena Donnelly. He’s further survived by grandchildren Anna and Leah Szewczykowski and Logan Gustafson, along with several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
