Paul Anthony Dzmura, age 87, of Fairview passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at his residence.
He was born in Erie on February 16, 1931 the beloved son of the late Paul and Anna Cifranic Dzmura.
After graduating from high school, Paul enlisted in the United States Marines and served in the Korean War. He had many hobbies, including woodworking, gardening, reading and loved history. Paul video taped the performers at the Little Church on the Hill in Wellsburg, PA.
He was a member of the Elk Creek Historical Committee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Albert Dzmura and three sisters, Anna Walters, Mary Dzmura, and Johanna East.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Ethel Heidecker Dzmura; three sons, Paul Andrew Dzmura of Erie, David Joseph Dzmura and his wife Marjolein of Marysville, OH; Joseph Andrew Dzmura, of VA; a daughter Susan Teresa Luttazi of Medfield, MA; he is further survived by four granddaughters, Hannah Ellen Dzmura, Caroline Marie Luttazi, Sarah Catherine Luttazi and Ella Rachelle Dzmura and a grandson, Mason David Dzmura; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard on Thursday from 3pm until the time of full military honors at 6pm.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
