Paul Campagne

June 19, 1970 — October 30, 2019

Paul Campagne, age 49, of Honolulu, HI passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was born on June 19, 1970 in Erie, the beloved son of Charles H. and Nancy (Benes) Campagne.

Paul was a graduate of Cathedral Prep High School, class of 1988. He graduated with his Bachelor's from Clarion University and was a founding father of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity.  Paul moved to Hawaii after graduating college.  He decided to move back to Erie and became his father's right hand man in building Career Concepts.  Paul recognized a need for an Epilepsy Chapter in Erie and he facilitated the opening of an office in Erie.  He then started an annual epilepsy walk and raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Erie office to help those with epilepsy.   In 2005, Paul was inspired to move back to Honolulu, Hawaii where he started CHC Real Estate and became a successful real estate developer.  Paul joined the Epilepsy Foundation in Hawaii and served on the Board of Directors.  He also participated in the Freedom Fun Run Walk every July 4th to support Freedom from Epilepsy and to raise money on education and support programs for those impacted by epilepsy in Hawaii.

Paul loved spending time with his family and coming home to Erie. He was an avid fly fisher, surfer, and world traveler. He was an advocate for persons with disabilities and an inspiration to many people. His positive spirit and the life he lived, touched the lives of many. He was determined and fearless and his goal was to learn something new every day. Paul's life tips were to "expect something wonderful to happen every day" and to "remember the best has yet to come!"

Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Lisa (Campagne) Winschel and her husband Tom Winschel,  Kim Campagne, Laura Campagne, and one brother, Charles Campagne.  Also surviving are his nephew, Anthony Winschel; his nieces, Carla Winschel,  Alex Campagne,  Marissa Campagne,  and Megan Campagne.  He also was survived by lifelong friends from Erie and many dear friends and colleagues in Hawaii  along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty Street on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Wednesday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.  Entombment will be in Calvary mausoleum.
