Paul Butler

Paul B. Butler, age 72, of Millcreek, passed away Saturday September 7, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness.

Paul was born on December 15, 1940, in Warren, PA, son of the late Charles Sertare and Alberta Butler. He graduated from Warren High School. After high school Paul attended Dora and Paul’s Barber Academy. He was a custodian for Blair Corporation and Presque Isle Downs and Casino.

Paul enjoyed boxing, billiards, chess, and playing baseball. He was an avid reader, enjoyed flea markets, and the outdoors including hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents Paul was preceded in death by his son Paul C. Butler.

Paul is survived by his companion Carol Schwenk; four daughters: Deborah Butler, Wendy Young, Tammy Zawistoski, and Rebecca Karl (Russel) all of Erie; three stepdaughters: Tina Perry, Julie Purnell, Kimberely Tees and one stepson Mathew Schwenk all of Texas; as well as grandchildren: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Andrew, Lukas, Nicholas, and Lila; and several step grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street on Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm, followed by a time of sharing at 7:30pm. Burial will be private.
