Patrick A. DiLuzio III

July 6, 1958 — March 3, 2025

Erie

Patrick A. DiLuzio III, age 66, of Erie, passed away peacefully at his home and went with the Lord on March 3, 2025. Pat was an amazing son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

If you knew Pat, you knew he was always willing to talk to anyone that would listen and learn something new about them. Pat’s greatest joy was his family, and it saddens us what he will miss out on with all his ‘buddies’, aka his grandchildren. He never left the house or went to bed without kissing Karen, his wife of 46 years. He was always involved with his kids and grandkids and was their greatest supporter for all their ventures. Pat enjoyed golfing and going to sporting events and concerts with his family and friends. He was an avid supporter of all Cleveland sports and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pat saw the best in people and always had a positive outlook. He never forgot a birthday or sports score.

Pat spent 32 years at Erie Insurance as a Senior Print Specialist before his retirement in December 2024. Prior to that, Pat worked at the Lord Corporation for 13 years. Pat was a regular in the Thursday Night Golf League at Elk Valley and various other sports teams throughout the years. Pat made sure to keep the DiLuzio Family Turkey Bowl tradition alive since it started in 1972.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents Shirley (Jack) Markley, Patrick DiLuzio II, Aunt Evelyn Seybolt, and brother-in-law Roy Clay. He is survived by his wife Karen of 46 years, his children Jennifer (Rich) Bon, Brian (Jackie) DiLuzio, Christine (Brad) Komaromy, Eric (Jessica) DiLuzio, and his beloved grandchildren: Alex, Grace, Kaitlyn, Blake, Nolan, Carter, Brynn, Logan, and Robert.

Pat is also survived by his stepsiblings: Beth (Tim) Harmle, Jan (Brian) Baldwin, and Chip Markley. He is a brother-in-law to Darrell (Carla) Clay, Jane Clay, Bob (Peggy) Clay, Sharon (Rich) Yanek, Ron (Dina) Clay. Pat was truly blessed to be a part of the Markley family.
