Patrick Christie

Patrick F. Christie age 72, of Erie, passed away quietly at home on October 10, 2016. He was born in Erie, PA on June 30, 1944 a son of John Christie and the late Katherine Hurn Christie.

Pat was a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School class of 1962 and served in the United States Air Force. He married the former Jean Marlowe in 1972 and raised his family while working as an optician with Precision Vision Center. Pat was a Cleveland Browns fan and also coached basketball and soccer at Our Lady of Peace School. He also served on the board of the Zukor Club and enjoyed throwing darts and bowling. Pat was charismatic and selfless with a sharp wit, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his father and his wife, Pat is survived by three children; Derrick Christie of Centerville, VA, Patrick Christie of Erie and Alison Marcin (Tom) of Pittsburgh, PA. He also leaves two granddaughters; Dahlia Jean “DJ” and Ivy Louise Marcin both of Pittsburgh along with his siblings; Cheryl Frazier Adams (Ken) of Waterford, PA, Jack Christie (Peggy) of Erie, PA and Sue Poux of Cary, NC. Many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends also remain.

Friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) Erie, PA 16506 on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of a memorial service there at 2:00 pm with Father Leo Gallina officiating.
