Patrick G. Bowes, age 69, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 11, 2022. He was born February 1, 1953 in Erie the son of the late John and Jennie (Sheridan) Bowes.
Patrick’s world was more restricted than ours. He was intellectually challenged with Fragile X Syndrome. Pat and his brother Johnny (always known as the “Bowes Boys”) were among the first students to benefit from the newly founded Dr. Gertrude Barber Center.
The incredibly inspiring news is that Patrick’s life was also boundless. He was listed as an organ donor and his generosity is already is a blessing to others.
Patrick is survived by his two sisters, Mary T. Beuchert and Margaret Bowes and his brother, Johnny Bowes. He is also survived by his nieces, Elizabeth Beuchert Marshall (Rob) and Maureen Beuchert O’Brien (Kevin Matan), and nephew John Beuchert (fiancé Melanie Brewer). Along with great-nieces Lilli and Lydia and great-nephew Alexander.
Patrick is further survived by his extended family of devoted staff of the Meridian Dr. group home. Their compassion and love will never be forgotten.
