Patricia Ann “Patty” Flowers Rutkowski, of Erie, age 65, passed away peacefully on Friday March 17, 2017 at home. She was born on February 9, 1952 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late Casimir and Mary Rossoni Kwiatowski.
Patty graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1970 and from the Orra-Jean Beauty Academy. She owned and operated Therapy Hair Salon for over 20 years and took great pride in being a pioneer fashionista. Most recently, Patty managed the Erie City Mission Thrift Store until her retirement in 2014.
She was an avid reader and was a professional amateur accordionist. She was an overall gifted musician. She was a strong supporter and advocate for all animals particularly her cats.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Branislaus Rutkowski; a sister Diane Domian of Erie; a brother Gary (Evelyn) Flowers of Erie; a brother-in-law Ron Domian; a special first cousin Kathy Boetger; a very close Uncle Armand Rossoni; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and beloved friends. She also leaves behind her current family of rescued pets; Junior, Rupert, Theodore, Billy Bob, Violet, Stanley, Conrad and Stella.
Friends are invited to call on the family on Tuesday March 21 from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 11am at St. Jude the Apostle Church Chapel, 2801 West 6th St. Erie, PA 16505.
