Patricia Michalczik

Patricia Michalczik, age 63, of Erie passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital.

She was born in Erie on November 2, 1953 a daughter of Edward and Clara Aquillono Smock. Patty attended McDowell High and spent her life caring for her family as a homemaker. Her greatest love and joy was her family; her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Family was everything to her, and once you met her you were never a stranger again. She was gregarious, full of life, never judged anyone and accepted everyone as they were.

Patricia loved to play BINGO and poker, and was an avid collector of purses.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Michalczik.

Patricia is survived by three children, Christopher Jacoboski, Heather Jacoboski and Emil Michalczik, III all of Erie; five grandchildren, Austin, Oogie, Hunner, Emil IV and Chloe; a great-granddaughter, Brooklynn; and five siblings, Jacqueline Felix (Dave), Robert Smock (Sherry) both of Erie, Richard Smock of Arizona and Kimberly Rearic and David Smock both of Erie. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) Erie, PA 16506, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home.
