Patricia Mccain

Patricia Ann Brown McCain, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2013.

She was born in Bellefountaine, Ohio on December 27, 1934, the daughter of the late William and Katherine Brown.

She graduated from Villa Maria Academy and attended Marquette College.

Patricia was a member of the Kahkwa Club, Lakeshore Country Club, Erie Club and the Erie Yacht Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Charles (Charley) McCain, her brother Tom Brown, and her dear sister, Virginia Fries.

She was a member of the Hamot Aid Society and Junior League of Erie. She enjoyed reading and playing bridge, but most of all enjoyed raising her family, being a tremendous wife, mother, mother in-law and grandmother. Her nickname was "Saint Patty", for all the patience, kindness, understanding and unwavering support she had for all her family and friends. Pat was admired by everyone who knew her for her style, grace, and pleasant demeanor. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three sons: Charles (Chick) McCain and his wife Lu of Mississippi, William (Bill) McCain of Albion, and Mark McCain and his wife Kirsten of Erie; her three beloved grandchildren: Katie Frank and her husband Dave, Patrick McCain and his fiancée Casey Bruce, and Christopher McCain, all of Erie, and many nieces and nephews.

At Patricia's request, viewing and graveside service will be private.
