Patricia L. Wehan Hawley, age 78, of Erie passed away Monday October 26, 2015 at UPMC Hamot surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 6, 1937 in Erie the daughter of the late Edward and Doris Urbanski Wehan.
Patricia was a graduate of Saint Benedict Academy and St. Vincent School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, as a private duty nurse, and retired as an industrial nurse with American Sterilizer. She loved shopping and taking trips with her husband, especially taking cruises. Patricia was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Her unwavering love for her family was the major focus of her life as she followed their activities and accomplishments throughout the years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Commander Neil T. Hawley, USN.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Neil Hawley; two daughters, Kim Stillitano and her husband Anthony of New Stanton, PA and Karen Vanderwiel and her husband Paul of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Marie Hawley of Fredericksburg, VA along with seven grandchildren; Mitchell, Conner, Alex, Garrett, Kara, Chad, and Hunter. She is the sister of James Wehan and his wife Kathleen of Erie and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9 PM and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Jude Catholic Church. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
