Patricia Gregory

Patricia Inell -Ann Gregory age 60, of Erie, passed away quietly at home on Thursday, August 29, 2013. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 23, 1952 a daughter of Theresa Young Sansom and the late Deacon Willard B. Sansom.

After moving to Erie, she graduated from Strong Vincent High School, and worked for 35 years in health care for both Health South and Saint Mary’s East.

She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she served as a missionary until her illness. She also sang with the Women’s Conference Choir. Patricia loved praising and talking about the goodness of the Lord.

Patricia loved her family and her friends, and she never met a stranger.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her son Cedrick “Teddy” Sansom, along with a brother, Deacon Willard “Benny” B.C. Sansom, two nieces, a nephew and a great nephew.

Patricia is survived by her mother along with her loving, devoted son and primary caregiver, Bobby Dion Fletcher. She also leaves her sisters: Mairian Darlene Chaney and her husband Joe, a devoted brother-in-law of Erie; Shena S. Clayborne and her husband Ross of New Orleans, La.; a brother Al Tyrone Sansom of New Orleans, and sister-in-law Jeannie Sansom of Erie; her adopted sister Chrystal Carlgren and her husband Elder Anthony; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and devoted friends Denise Henderson, Theresa Gorten, and Rev. Debra Ross-Smith and Terry.

Friends may call at Shiloh Baptist Church , 901 East 5th Street, Erie, Pa. 16507 where Reverend Anthony G. Harris is Pastor, on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and are invited to a home going service at the church on Friday at 11:00 am with Reverend Charles E. Mock eulogizing, and Reverend Harris officiating. Burial at Lakeside Cemetery.
