Patricia Filutze

Patricia L. Filutze, age 69, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 1, 2013, just days shy of her 70th birthday.

She was born November 4, 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William and Harriet Corrier.

She was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy and attended the Erie Business School for nursing. Patty worked as a Nurse’s Assistant for over 25 years at Hamot Medical Center and many years at Pleasant Ridge Manor in the Geriatric Unit. She also was a member of Holy Cross Church for many years.

She loved gardening, boating and picnics at Commodore Perry Yacht Club. Patty loved animals and had even started her own dog grooming business. She also belonged to the Hunt and Saddle Club many years ago.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Patrick; sons, Dr. John Filutze of Perry, Ohio and William J. Filutze and wife Pat of Maryland; a grandson, Dominic Filutze; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St. Tuesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm and may attend a mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Holy Cross Church in Fairview with the Reverend Scott Detisch officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Hill.
