Patricia Ann Brown

Patricia Ann Brown, 74, of Erie, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Hamot Medical Center on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Pat was born in Erie on November 28, 1950, to John M. “Jack” and Wanda D. Earnest Clark Brown. She spent her early years in Erie before the family moved to Warren, PA where she attended Warren Area High School, graduating in 1969. She went on to study nursing at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was a nurse for various nursing homes in the Orchard Park, NY area including Seneca Manor in West Seneca and The Waters of Orchard Park, retiring in 2014 after 25 years. She was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church where she volunteered in the nursery.

She is survived by her sister Linda Anderson and brother-in-law Dr. Robert Anderson of Erie, PA; and two nephews, Michael Anderson (Cheryl) and John Anderson (Sandi Garske) both of Erie, PA; and one niece, Julie Yartz (Kurt) of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Alyssa Wheeler (Matthew), Justin Anderson, Cara Anderson, Katherine Yartz, Jack Yartz, RJ Anderson, Lindsay McNally (Nick), Cody Anderson, Logan Anderson, and Savannah Anderson.

Pat will be remembered for her generosity and loving heart. A caregiver by nature, she was a blessing to her patients and co-workers as a nurse and lovingly cared for her parents as they aged. Wherever life took her, Pat easily made new friends and became part of her community. One of her greatest loves in life was her beloved pets, who brought her immeasurable joy throughout her life. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and she will be missed dearly.

Pat’s family extends their gratitude to the residents and caregivers at the Forestview Skilled Nursing Center at Springhill where Pat lived. She was well cared for, loved, and experienced true community during her time at Forestview.

Friends may call for visiting hours with the family 9 – 11 am on Saturday, March 29th at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 6015 W. Ridge Road, Erie, PA 16506. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am immediately following visiting hours. Private inurnment at a later date will be at the Friends Cemetery in Orchard Park, NY.
