Pamela Ann Hilbert, age 59 of Fairview, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 14, 2017, following complications from surgery.
She was born in Lawrence Park, on February 12, 1958, daughter of the late Alberta “Birdie” Ames Dornhoefer and George Bostwick.
She grew up in a time of being home before the street lights came on and respect and love of country. Pamela enjoyed motorcycle and to horseback riding. A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan who loved to bake, cook and garden. Pamela loved her animals and spending time with family and friends.
She was blessed to be called Grammie, sister, aunt and friend by many. If she called you family, you were just that until her last breath.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel and Howard “Bud” Dornhoefer, sister-in-law Constance “Connie” Dornhoefer, nephew Joseph Dornhoefer, niece Melinda Malone Corbran, son-in-law Friday Orr and her fiancé, David Doe.
Pamela is survived by her daughter Nancy Lee (Terry, Jr.) Doolittle, her grandchildren: Alexis and Cole Doolittle; two sisters: Nancy Lee (Paul) Malone, and Shelby (John) Kelly; a brother Kenneth (Teri) Dornhoefer. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce (Sam) Smith and her best friends, Clara Catania, Denise Carroll, Mary Plaza, Shelly Martell, Julie and Isabella Kovacs, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held at the annual Ames Family Reunion. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Home.
