Robert Klingensmith

March 6, 1962 — March 22, 2020

On Sunday, March 22nd, Robert Clair Klingensmith, nicknamed “Bobby” passed away peacefully at the age of 58.

He was born in Erie, PA on March 6, 1962. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Donna Klingensmith, his biological Father, Arthur Harper, and his Father, Clair Klingensmith, his Uncle, George Hill, and Grandmother, Beatrice J. Hill.

He is survived by five siblings, Joe Alecci, Catherine Harbaugh, Mark Klingensmith, Johnny Klingensmith, and Brian Klingensmith.

He is the Father to his only child, Tanya Cordray, and Grandfather to five Grandchildren Jacob Cordray, Odin Cordray, Agnarr Cordray, Frank Earl Cordray, and EzzmarellaZella Earl Cordray, and the Uncle to Nieces and Nephews, Johnathon Klingensmith, Alexandria McCulloch, Mark Klingensmith, Joshua Klingensmith, David Klingensmith, Alex Klingensmith, and Katie Klingensmith.

He graduated from Tech Memorial High in 1980 and went into the US Air Force after graduating. He served from January 1981 to August 1983 as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist.

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of our friend, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Uncle. Bobby was a proud Air Force vet. He was an amazing man that would do anything to help others, his friends and family would describe him as ‘salt of the earth’ and ‘down-to-earth’. He had a good relationship with God.

He brought a smile to your face without even trying. He was a passionate man who was full of life but left us too soon. He was a good friend but an even more amazing Father and Grandfather. He loved his 5 grandchildren so much.

He was a free spirit, he had a love for nature, loved to fish, loved to hunt for Geodes in the mountains in Arizona, and loved to ride his motorcycle. He also loved to find the best bargains in thrift store.

The death was sudden and he will be greatly missed. His family would appreciate any generous donation to help pay for the expense of his memorial, the costs of cremation, and other wishes.
