Patrick "Pat" M. Dunn

Patrick “Pat” M. Dunn, age 72, of Millcreek, passed into the arms of Christ on April 26th, 2023 at the Erie VA Medical Center. He was born on March 25th, 1951, son to the late Gerald A. Dunn and Mary “Roseanne” Eckerson.

Patrick graduated from Academy High School in 1969. He entered into the Marine Corps in 1972, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Upon leaving the military, Patrick enrolled into Mercyhurst College, graduating in 1978. He spent a decades-long career at Lord Corporation, retiring in 2016. Bestowed with the moniker of “Superfan”, Patrick was an avid Mercyhurst basketball fan, receiving the Mercyhurst Fan of the Year award in 2002, and the Sister Damien Spirit Award in 2011 for his loyal support and love of Mercyhurst Athletics. Patrick was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish, from which he received the Man of the Year award in 2001.

Patrick enjoyed having fun and loving life with his family and friends, watching sports, going out fishing and golfing, and spending time on the front porch with his dog Apollo. An immensely gentle and loving soul; he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Christa Dunn; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Spiegel.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Kathleen Dunn; son, Jonathan Dunn; daughter, Rachel Perezic (Hamit); grandchildren, Cora Perezic, Cole Perezic; sisters, Kathi Spiegel, Ginny Bednaro; brother, Richard Dunn; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Friends are invited to a mass held for Patrick at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish, 1531 E. Grandview Blvd., in Erie on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
