Carlota Slick

Carlota Roberts Slick, age 92, of Millcreek, was welcomed into God’s kingdom on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Bickford Assisted Living.

She was born on September 7, 1929 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, a daughter of the late Albert and Iveta DeCarvalho Roberts.

Carlota graduated from Waynesburg College and then went on to work as a substitute teacher for many years in the Millcreek School District.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church where she was very active in the Church and the Altar Guild and was a member of the Order of the Amaranth Society.

Her greatest joy was being a mother, and she enjoyed reading, teaching, and being with friends and family.

In Addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sebert Powell Slick; a daughter, Cindy Slick; two sisters, Norma and Theia and a brother, Albert.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren she so cherished, Craig Slick and his wife Mary Beth of Erie and their children Justin and Heather Slick, and a son Col. Curt Slick and his wife Tami of Lewistown, Pa and their children, Jarrod, Eric, Cassidy, Mason, and Ella; and a sister, Meg Younkin of Ligonier, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church 1070 Dutch Rd, Fairview, PA 16415 on Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Service, 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
