Normasell “Norm” Gore, age 53, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Center following a lengthy illness. He was born December 17, 1959 in Erie, son of the late Solomon and Jerry Lee Gore of Mississippi. Norm graduated from Harborcreek High School and had been employed in maintenance at Van de Kamp’s food processing company and Weil McClain Boiler Makers. He was a member of the Cornerstone Liberty Community Church. He was a Steeler and Pirates fan. Norm loved fishing, as well as gardening, cooking and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Ellen St. Fort; three brothers, Edward, Esper and Kenneth Gore. He is survived by seven sisters, Ena Sampson of Virginia; Katherine Woodard and Rita Thornton, both of Erie, Deborah Riley, Karen Gore and Christine Gore, all of Columbus, OH and Chelsa Grey (Edward) of Erie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles from across the nation.
