Norman Carlin

Norman J. Carlin, age 77, of Erie, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.  He was born in Erie on October 7, 1940, a son of the late Clifton and Helen Culhane Carlin. 

Norman was graduate of Cathedral Prep and Edinboro University.  He went on to teach math and chemistry at Seneca High School for over 30 years until his retirement in 1995.  He was also a track and football coach at Seneca for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Doris Shade and Clifton Carlin. 

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Virginia “Ginger” Carlin, his daughter Robin (Jeff) Pelletier, of Harrisburg, PA and their children Nicholas, Jacob (Beth) and Jacqlene, his son Chris (Lisa) Carlin of Erie, and their children Krystal (Billy) Krawczyk and Nate (Girl Friend Mary Carrol) and his great grandchildren, Gabbi and Camden Krawczyk and Jay Pelletier.  He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.
