Norma Thomas

Norma Lee Thomas age 88, of Erie, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in San Antonio Texas on August 11, 1925 a daughter of the late Thomas David and Alice DeArment Thorne.

Norma was a very proud Air Force wife who lived to care for her children and family.

She was a generous and kind person who always wanted the best for everyone especially her children. Everyone loved and adored her and she was the mother that everyone wanted. All of her children are who they are today because of her and her morality, character and humor.

Norma was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas a son, David Thomas, and two brothers, Thomas Thorne and Alvin (Buddy) Thorne.

She is survived by her five children, Robert Thomas, Anna Thomas Meeks, Timothy Thomas, John Thomas Jr., and Lynda Thomas; three grandchildren, Michelle Thomas Niebaurer, Jennifer Thomas and Stephen Thomas; and three great grandchildren, Avalynn Thomas and David and Nicholas Niebaurer.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
