Norma Lois Rogers age 71, of Erie, died Wednesday, March 6, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Kearny, New Jersey on June 19, 1941 a daughter of the late Archibald and Helen McPherson McCall.
She was a graduate of North Arlington High School and continued her education in nurse training. Norma worked many years as a receptionist with the Erie Shriner's Hospital for Children. She married the late William Rogers and raised three sons. She was very involved in Shriner's Sled Hockey Team. She was an avid reader and loved spending time in Long Beach Island in New Jersey.
Norma is suvived by three sons; William Scott Rogers of N.J. (Pam Brady of Erie), Thomas Andrew Rogers and his wife Erin of Erie and Glen Alexander Rogers and his wife Julie of Erie. Norma also leaves ten grandchildren; Haydon Alexander Rogers, Morgan and Haley Monahan, Anna Elizabeth Rogers, Julia Lynn Rogers, Emily Ponsford Jeremy Ponsford, along with Jared Bliley, Tyler Bliley and Karly Bliley. She also leaves a sister, Maureen Dray and brother-in-law, Donald Dray. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.), Erie, Pa. 16506 on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service there at 1:00 pm with The Reverend Scott Maxwell officiating.
