Norbert Matteson

Norbert L. Matteson, 89, born in Erie, PA moved to Florida in 1967, and died on October 11, 2014 at his residence in Port Saint Lucie, FL.

Mr. Matteson was a proud US Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Prior to his retirement, he taught chemistry and physics at Suncoast High School, and was an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Junior College.

He is survived by two sons: Stephen Matteson and his wife Susan of Jensen Beach, and Robert Matteson and his wife Xiu Ping Zhang of Port Saint Lucie; nine grandchildren: Robert Matteson of Washington State, Shannon Matteson of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Seth Matteson of San Diego, CA, Syde Matteson of Targareon Spring, FL, Heth Matteson of Jensen Beach, FL, Kristen Matteson of Stuart, FL, Kaitlin Matteson of Stuart, FL, Anna Matteson of Fayetteville, NC, and George Matteson, Port Saint Lucie, FL.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road on Saturday, December 5th from 10 am until the memorial service at 11 am with Reverend Michael DeMartinis officiating. Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
