Nicholas Mindek

Nicholas Layton Mindek, age 24, of Harborcreek, died on Thursday, September 25, 2014.

He was born in Erie on March 31, 1990, a son of Michael and Autumn Mindek Coverdale of Harborcreek.

Nicholas was employed as a farmer at Mindek Brothers Fur Farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Layton and Edith Guckes, Nicholas and Martha Mindek, and his grandfather, George Coverdale.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Catherine F. and Julia M. Baldwin; half-brother and sister, Zachary and Hailey Coverdale; grandparents, Forrest and Nancy Mindek; grandmother, Carmeline Coverdale. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home 2532 Norcross Road on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
