Free to soar with the eagles, Nicholas Bryon Filby, age 30, of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
He was born in Erie on September 30, 1984, a son of Mary McCallion Filby and the late Bryon Filby.
Nicholas graduated from Girard High School in 2003. He worked at Jarecki Valve in Fairview as a welder and fabricator. He lived life in the fast lane and loved animals. Along with being a dirt and street bike enthusiast, he was a great mechanic and could fix anything. Nicholas loved his family, especially the love of his life, his daughter, Serenity.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Michael McCallion and his wife Wendy of Erie and Christopher Filby of Lake City; a sister, Emily Filby of Colorado; daughter, Serenity and her mother and good friend Bridget Scott; and a daughter, Ava.; grandmothers: Josephine McCallion and Doris Menosky. He is further survived by a niece, Holley; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
