Neva West

Neva L. West, age 91, of Girard and formerly of Erie, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. Born December 25, 1921, in Cranesville, she was the daughter of the late George and Opal Curtis McCumber.

Neva retired from General Electric in Erie where she had worked for 20 years in Building 18 as a crane operator. She also enjoyed doing crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. West, in 1966; three brothers: Lyle McCumber, Victor McCumber, Robert Goddard; and a step son-in-law, Patrick Mahoney. Neva is survived by a step-daughter, Joyce Mahoney of Saegertown, PA; three step-grandchildren: Roberta and Melody Vickers and Erin Mahoney; six great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
