Nathaniel Katz

Nathaniel "Sonny" Katz, age 87, of Takoma Park, MD and formerly of Erie died Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Maryland. Born in Erie on December 18, 1925, a son of the late Harry and Lillie Katz.

He graduated from Academy High School and served in the Air Force during World War II. After the war, he worked for various companies in the home building business.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his wife Helen; two brothers Benjamin and Morris Katz; and one sister Gertrude Mandelsohn.

He is survived by two sons Jeffery Katz, of Vineland, NJ and Kevin Katz, of Arizona. He is further survived by three grandchildren, Stephanie Weiss, Courtney Katz, and Jordan Katz.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Sunday at C.B.S. Cemetery at 2pm with Rabbi Leonard Lifshen officiating.
