With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Natalie C. Brown, who passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, at the age of 90, at UPMC Hamot Hospital surrounded by her family.
Natalie was born on September 24, 1933, in Erie, PA, to the late Wilmot F. and Donna (Lewis) Collins.
Natalie was a dedicated educator who touched the lives of countless students during her 40-year tenure as a teacher in the Millcreek School District. Out of the classroom, she loved spending time with her family. Offering her unwavering support and love, she enjoyed having a hand in raising her grandchildren and attended many horse shows and travel hockey games. Natalie was an avid reader especially when it came to mystery novels. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Dale Elizabeth Brown and sister, Donna Lou Boucher.
She leaves behind to cherish her in memory, her sons, Lawrence R. Brown and Kenneth C. Brown; daughter, Allison R. Brown; grandchildren, Christina Voorhis and Riley J. Brown (Haley) and great grandchildren, McKenna, Kylee and Luca. She is further survived by her “spare” kid, James S. Duguid and the mother of her grandchildren, Kathleen Brown.
Friends are invited to Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W 10th St., on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, for an 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a future date. Burial will be private and held at the family’s convenience.
