Naomi W. Fohner, age 89, of Millcreek, passed away on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at home. She was born in Lawrence Park, the daughter of the late LaRue and Blanche Young Weed.
Naomi graduated from Millcreek High School and soon thereafter met the love of her live, Harvey Fohner, as they crossed paths in the woods. She was devoted to her family from that day forward. She was a talented musician playing all types of instruments, having started with the violin at the age of 10. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making crafts. She shared her love of craft shows with her daughters. She and her husband camped all over the country, making friends everywhere they went.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Howard and Frederick Weed.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Harvey Fohner; two daughters: Nancy (William) Bainbridge and Margi (Robert) Quadri, all of Erie; five grandchildren: William (Michelle) Bainbridge Jr., Daniel Bainbridge, Lisa (Scott) Pendleton, Jennifer Quadri and Laura (Matthew) Kuhn; and three great grandchildren: William Bainbridge III, Jessica Stahlsmith, and Andrea Quirk. A sister-in-law Twilla Weed also survives.
Friends may call on the family on Monday December 28th from 10am until the time of the service at 12 Noon at Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.). Burial will be in the Shreves Ridge Cemetery in Union City.
