Nancy E. Wenslow, age 82, of Millcreek, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Fairview Manor.
She was born in Kane, PA on May 31, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter Nelson and Dora Peterson Nelson.
She graduated from Kane High School in 1951, and though her primary occupation was a homemaker, Nancy also was a piano teacher, and a member of the Westminster Garden Club for over 50 years, from 1960 to the present, having held all officer positions over the years of her membership. She was a past member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was the organist for many years. Nancy also fought a courageous battle with Diabetes for 71 years.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wenslow; and a brother, Robert Nelson.
She is survived by three sons, John Wenslow (Cheryl) of Albion, PA, Kenneth Wenslow (Kathy) of Tifton, GA, and Douglas Wenslow (Julie) of Erie; seven grandchildren, Michael, Jackie, Jordan, Nicholas, Alecia, Amanda, Isaac and Riley; and one great-granddaughter, Madison. She is further survived by a brother, Christy Nelson.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family and are entrusted to Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street Erie, PA 16506.
