Nancy Vorse

Nancy J. Vorse, age 68, of Girard, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at UPMC Hamot surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Erie on August 30, 1947, a daughter of the late Harvey and Ruby Disen Walter.

Nancy graduated from Northwestern High School. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Walter.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charles A. Vorse, Sr.; son Charles Vorse II and his wife Monica; daughters: Kim Pilewski and her husband John and Tina Twichel and her husband, Jeff, all of Girard; grandchildren: Nicole Hodgkiss and her husband Jon, Jennifer Pilewski and John Pilewski, Jr.; Tyler, Charles III, and Morgan Vorse; Jennifer Brown; and Nathan, Corey and Emily Twichel; and great grandchildren: Kai Vorse, Logan, Denise and Chloe Brown; two brothers: George Walter and his wife LaRae and Ron Walter and his wife Kathy. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by her husband’s extended family.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday at 10 am, in the All Faith Chapel with Reverend Charles Cammarata officiating.
