Nancy Lu Jones Lozowski, proud descendant of the Keep Family, died peacefully in her home in Lake City at age 71 on August 24, 2016 with loved ones at her side.

Nancy is survived by her children, Charles “Chip” Lozowski and his wife Susie of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Christine Edinger and her husband, Jeffrey of Fairview, PA and Robert “Bob” Lozowski and his wife, Heather of Cranberry Township, PA. Her nine grandchildren: Corrine, Megan, Jacob, Sam, Katie, Lillian, Zachary, Julia and Nicholas; and three great grandchildren, Kaytlynn, Logan and Macilynn. They will remember her always for her unconditional love and generosity.

She will be missed by her sister Carol Huseman (Don) of Melbourne Beach, Fla, her brother, Bob Jones (Kay) of Largo, Fla, her sister in law, Sandi Pifer of Harborcreek, PA and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The Nance will be forever missed by her club girls “The GGs” with whom she spent so much time antique shopping, road tripping, Florida vacations, card playing and mostly laughing. Her special friend of 40 years, Janice Munch will always treasure their shared birthday, and all the good memories, support through difficult times and especially the laughter they shared.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Julian “Bud” Lozowski, her parents, Charles Jones and Nell Keep Jones Bisset, her brother, Dennis Jones, and her special cousin Airetta Rounds.

Nancy was born in Erie on May 5, 1945 in Erie, PA. Her family moved to Florida where she helped out in her family’s donut shop and then graduated from St. Petersburg High. She attended Mississippi State College for Women. On a visit to PA, she met and fell in love with Bud, who became the one and only love of her life. She selflessly took care of him while he battled M.S. for 35 of their 45 year marriage until his passing in 2010. Nancy and Bud were a wonderful example of a true marriage.

Nancy loved to travel more than anything and cherished her yearly trips to Florida with “the girls”. Beaches and sunsets is where she found her peace. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor- but would throw a shoe at anyone telling a tasteless or bad joke! She loved all her pets which included many pups, cats and birds. She was an avid reader and loved to soak in the tub with a good book. Nancy loved to dance and could be found dancing in her kitchen to Elvis, James Brown, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks and at any Chris Higbee Show. She remembered fondly the years spent camping at Evergreen Lake Park and all the lifelong friends she met there. She was active in politics and volunteered at local elections. Nancy was a member of St. John’s Parish since the mid 1980’s.

Nancy will be fondly remembered for her 30 plus years spent managing various departments at Girard Giant Eagle until her retirement in 2010. She will also be remembered for her kindness, compassion, selflessness, homemade chocolate chip cookies and her yearly give away of homemade fudge.

Nancy was a special force earning her the nickname “The Nancinator”. The Nance will fondly live on through our memories, laughter, and in the hearts of all she had touched forever.
