Nancy Kontis

Nancy J. Scheppner Kontis age 74, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

She was born in Erie on April 30, 1947 a daughter of the late Donald and Marilyn Scheppner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee A. Kontis and two brothers, Richard and Matthew.

Nancy attended St. Andrew’s School and Villa Maria Academy. She worked most of her life in her husband’s restaurant business Lee Kontis Charcoal Pit . She also worked as a CASA Volunteer.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved animals, gardening and traveling.

Survivors include two daughters, Kirsten and her husband Michael of Ohio and Ann Burton (Louie Tracy IV) of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren;  three brothers, Greg, David, and John; three sisters, Deborah, Janice, and Valerie; and many nieces and nephews.

At Nancy’s request, private arrangements are being handled by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
