Nancy Ennis

Nancy S. Ennis age 89, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. James Manor.

She was born in Erie on May 20, 1926 a daughter of the late William and Virginia (Schutte) Sautter.

Nancy graduated from St Vincent High School, the class of 1944.

After spending many years raising her daughters and being a beautiful homemaker and wife, Nancy worked in retail with several businesses and spent more than fifteen years working for Sears in maintenance contract sales, retiring in 2000.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Ennis in 1971 and a daughter Robin E. White in 2005.

Nancy is survived by her daughters Lauren LaGrandeur, husband Leo, of North Carolina and Kerry E. Lyons of Union City.

She is further survived by her grandchildren: Amy Lumm of Mississippi; Jesse Law, Erie; Mary LaGrandeur, North Carolina; Michelle LaGrandeur, Northeast; Shane LaGrandeur, Erie; Nathan Lyons of Arizona; Rhia Lyons, Northeast; Katy Lyons, New Hampshire; Derek Lyons, Arizona; Alice Lyons, Corry; Alice Ondrejcak, Erie.

Nancy is blessed to have 14 great-grandchildren as well.

Visitation will be held at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home at 3801 West 26th St (at Powell Ave.) on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a memorial service to be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
