Nancy Brooder

Nancy M. Brooder, age 84, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Bradford, PA on February 17, 1933, a daughter of the late James D. and Helen G. Moore McIntyre.

Nancy was a graduate of Bradford High School.  She worked at the Boston Store and was a secretary at the Kahkwa Club for many years.  She then was a waitress at the Stop 5 Restaurant and Eat n’ Park until she retired.  She enjoyed her retirement years spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard, Holy Cross and St. George’s churches through the years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Brooder in 2010.

She is survived by four children, Steven M. Brooder, (Kathy) of Ft. Myers, FL, Cathy L. Paull, of Brooklyn, NY, Robert J. Brooder, (Rebecca) of Erie and Joseph R. Brooder, (Mickey) also of Erie.  In addition, Nancy is survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, (at Powell Avenue.)  The family will have a celebration of life gathering to be announced at a later date.

Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
