Myrtle Trohoske

Myrtle Marie Trohoske age 83, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Indian Head, MD on August 17, 1937 the daughter of the late Albert L. and Kathleen R. Quade Graves.

Marie worked as a prep cook for many years at Howard Johnsons and the Pittsburgh Inn.

She loved the Erie Otters and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Marie was a very social person and loved being around people. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie was also a very active member of the Sportsman’s Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John M. Smith; her second husband, Robert J. Trohoske and three brothers, Lawrence, LeRoy and John Williams.

She is survived by her four children, Judy A. Smith Kraus (Richard), John C. Smith (Flordeliza), Janet L. Smith Blackman (Frank) and Jeffery A. Smith (Renee); six grandchildren, John D. Smith (Kwanita) and Jason D. Smith (Jamie), Richard W. Kraus III (Corinne) and Bethany N. Kraus Crider (Paul), Travis J. Blackman (Maureen) and Kyle J. Blackman; 14 great grandchildren, Skie, Natalie, Josh, Dominick, Layla, Hailey, Avery, Jaxson, Lincoln, Peyton, Paige, Brynleigh, Shane and Corey; and a brother, Roger Graves (Cissy). Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregiver Clarita Daproza for her amazing care and support.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26^th Street on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. Private burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
