Miriam Meeker

Miriam J. Kerstetter Meeker, 82, of McKean, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Erie, on December 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Oliver G. and Anna Price Kerstetter.

Miriam worked for many years at the Green Shingle Restaurant. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and their Sunshine Circle.  She was a past member of the McKean Lioness Club and the McKean Hose Co. Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Meeker; three sisters, Margaret Eller, Helen Hoffman and Marjorie Churchill; and four brothers, James, Robert, Samuel, and Lyle Kerstetter.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Merlyne) Meeker, Scott Meeker and Becky (Michael) Okel all of McKean, and Charles (Cynthia) Meeker of Long Beach, Mississippi.  A foster son, Lloyd (Joanne) Crisman of Sumter, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  She is further survived by four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Miriam is now at peace as she has joined her Bobby who has been waiting for her just beyond the moon. 

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Valley Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burton Westlake Funeral Home - 3801 West 26th Street Erie, PA 16506.
