Minnie “Min” Johnson, age 95, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 12, 2024, after an extended illness.
She was born on January 12, 1929, in North East, Pennsylvania, to the late James Pelican and Frances Sokolowski.

Min co-founded the Erie chapter of PFLAG in 1982, with her good friend Mary Scott, to provide care and support to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as their Families and Friends.
In addition to her parents, Min was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Johnson and her later life partner, Joseph P. Santone. She was also preceded by her sister, Roszan Trohoske and her son-in-law of 34 years, Thomas Adler.
She leaves behind to both grieve and to cherish her in memory, a daughter, Dawn Adler; a son, Dr. David J. Johnson; a granddaughter, Emily Frances Adler and a great granddaughter, Brooklynn Dawn.
