Miles Cross, Sr.

     Miles V. Cross, Sr., 70, of Erie, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at UPMC Hamot.  He was born on December 12, 1947, in Erie, son of the late Richard and Ruth Bush Smith.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War and worked for General Electric, Continental Rubber and most recently Grimm Industries where he retired in 1989 with 21 years service.  Mr. Cross loved his family dearly.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Mosconi; and seven brothers, Bob, Frank, Gordie, Roger, Jerry and John Smith, and Charlie Cross.
     Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Norma Robison Cross; a daughter, Tina M. Kelsey of Millcreek, Pa.; three sons, Michael Cross and Miles V. Cross, Jr. of Erie and Qudear Robison at home; two brothers, Richard Smith of Conneaut Lake, Pa. and Bruce Smith (Sharon) of New Castle, Pa.; five grandchildren, Monica Robison, Caitlynn Cross and Madilynn Cross of Erie, Justin Cross of Lake City, Pa. and Tiffany Swope of Millcreek; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. followed by a Time of Remembrance.
