Mildred Piott

Mildred T. Piott, age 83, of Erie, passed away peacefully Friday April 11, 2014 at Ball Pavilion.

She was born in Pittsburgh PA on June 2, 1930 daughter of the late William Harvey and Dorothy Saint Thomas. She graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School and spent her career as a bookkeeper working for Highway Equipment, Exxon and Billco Motors, all in the Pittsburgh area.

Mildred enjoyed gardening and loved birds and animals, especially dogs.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother William Harvey Thomas Jr.

She is survived by two sons; Thomas M. McCalmont and his wife Linda of Raleigh NC and Dave E. McCalmont and his wife Cathy of Erie and three grandchildren; Emily Madder and her husband James and Tara and Jericho McCalmont.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 until the time of the service at 3:00pm with Rev. Dan Owen officiating. Burial will be private in Pittsburgh.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ball Pavilion and the Sister’s at Mount St. Benedict for the love and care they have given to Mildred.
