Mildred Menz

Mildred A. Menz, age 85, passed away July 2, 2013 at Maryvale Apartments.

She was born in Butler, Pa. on November 10, 1928, the daughter of the late Walter L. and Rose Mary Knittel (Hartel).

Mildred was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Butler, and was employed at Thomas Lee Printing and mailing for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Donald R. McClymonds of Butler, Pa., and John L. Menz of Erie; three sisters: Mary Criley, Gertrude Widenhofer, and Helen Slaney.

Surviving is a daughter Deborah A. Ettwein, husband Duane, a granddaughter Jill of Chesapeake, Va.; son Eric J. Menz, granddaughters Laura and Sarah of Erie; daughter Karen Carnes, husband Jaime, grandchildren Jared and Kelly of Erie; a sister Rose Steighner of Butler, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Friday from 2 until 4 p.m.
